can any one help with 77 wiper problem?
Having a hard time tracing T&T wiper switch circut! The motor was shorted so i replaced it. Reman is noisey and only works on hi. Yellow wire has 12 volts with key on at motor,when i rotate lever switch to lo it runs on hi and parks on hi setting! Took coloumn apart and loosened switch to test terms.Found washer push in detent ground ok but lo and hi ohm readings are not grounding in each position.Off has continuity,lo has no continuity and hi has continuity. Aiso when i took switch cover off the folded flat spring and hi beam plastic guide came loose and can't figure install out! Can you aiso tell me how to remove wiper lever! Should i replace the reman with a corvette catalog motor? Are these motors new or remans? I know its a big order thanks!

77 wiper problems
I found GM wiper operation info! Lo spd is controlled by the switch grounding both terminals (TOP AND BOTTOM) at wiper motor and blue wire only for hi spd.Center yellow wire is hot with key on. The motors you get at reproduction vendors are remans and cost around $160.00 My local parts store can get them (remans) still for around $70.00 with life time warranty! My wiring was ok but the reman was defective. replaced the motor and all is well!.

I was just too slow on the uptake on this one, sorry. I'll try to do a better job of keeping an eye out on the 77's. My wiring diagram for the 77 may have helped. If you have one then all is good. Amazing how the wiring still holds up after 30+ years of service. Congratulations on solving the problem and thanks for the tip on the motor with a local supplier, good to know.
