Help with turn signals

My turn signals dont work and they dont light up on the dash. The flashers work, but dont light up on the dash. i replaced the turn signal flasher and still nothing. whats next?

I had problems with the signals working intermitently. My '79 had a "noise filter" plugged in with the flasher, in parrallel. That made no sense to me, so I removed it and the turn signals work flawlessly now, and I don't hear any noise in the radio.
