Could you explain what you are attemping? Because IMCA dirt track cars bounce and bob up and down through the turns. So they use the longer upper ball joint to adjust the MC and camber change with large vertical movements of the front tires.
Smarter people than me figured out a long time ago that changing roll center by using different front tire diameters.
Here is some reading for you. Allot of the ball joint and a-arm length changing is for banking and cars that are made for all left hand turns
It will only make a difference if the old ones are severely worn out,not likely to produce any change that you or anyone for that matter, could ever detect.!Who knows, moving the roll center could make the handling worse

I want to see if moving the RC up will reduce body roll and improve cornering (with new low profile tires).
Since changing the upper ball joints its easy I want to try it.
I know that howe's are one of the best but since I am just testing I don't want to spende a lot on I part that I may discard.
I know from past threads that there is another almost bolt in chebby ball joint that will fit, the top hat is the same, except for one more bolt, and some drilling, the stem is longer, which raises the upper arm and affects roll center...trick is, I dunno which joint is the correct one now, and that LOOKS right....
how much improvement?? Norval had that one figgered, and so he added some~2"? to his spindle height....and therefor used the stock joint....
that joint/the other one posted on, were good for only about 1/2 inch....if that....but they are a simple enough help...
This acts as a spacer on the spindle and increases the effective hieght 1 15/16" to improve the camber curve.
The idea is good but The company in the article does not produce it anylonger and I couldn't find anything similar on the net.
Maybe a problem in design or something related to liability???
I don´t want to modify the stock spindles to find slalon or G's number are the same ........ or worst
You almost have to use the Howe joint b/c it's uses the Chevy 3 hole top hat vs the Chevy 4 bolt top hat from speedway. Unless of course, you want to drill more holes in the upper a-arm.
