Hi S66,
My 71 AIM indicates 55-65 lbs. ft. for the cross-member's 2 bolts.
Regards,
Alan

I believe Nm refers to Newton meters, 1 Nm equals .7375622 lbs. ft.

No, it's Neuton meters, I got the value from my 78 AIM which is all metric. Looked in the 75' AIM I have and it specs 55-65 LB-Ft.

Be careful when you are torquing things down. Don't use the bolts to pull(seat) crossmember into the bushings as you may strip the weld nuts. I seated my crossmember first using a block of wood to seat it in the pads then I torqued it down .
I stripped mine on the first attempt but lucky for me the body was still off so it was an easy fix, with the body on it would be a major pain!

Hi HW and s66 ,
HW, your advice is important.
I know someone else who stripped the nut on one side using the bolt to pull the hat into the bushing.

Alan
