Fuel Door Vibration Solution
I was swapping out my 670cfm Street Avenger for my new SS-750 Quick Fuel Carb (which when dialed up correctly is awesome by the way) when I noticed something cool: The circumference of the carb-to-air cleaner gasket from the Street Avenger seemed to be roughly the same circumference as the circumference of the chrome ring that the my fuel door rests on. I've been plagued by the vibrating fuel door when my car is at idle. Yes, I've got the rubber footies on the fuel door and that helped some, but was not a complete solution. I still had the vibration at idle. So I took the gasket and cut a gap in it to fit around the fuel door hinge and added a TINY smear of Permatex black on one side to keep it in place and voila! No more vibration. Just thought I'd share.
