I just found a set of Rally II rims for sale, their date codes are from January, 1971. My Vette was assembled (according to the trim tag) in April, 1971.
Are these wheels correct for me?
I have the ncrs manual, but does not tell anything about what to do with the date codes. (There's something about a 6 month wide "window" before the vehicle assembly date; but in the engine section...)
It ok that everything must precede the vehicle assembly date...but by how many days or months?
Hi Matt,
The NCRS uses the 6 month window for all parts.
Many parts have dates very close to the engine's or car's assembly dates. But 6 months is the limit used in judging.
Regards,
Alan

The one exception is glass- front, side or rear. The NCRS standard limit is 1 year prior to the car assembly date.
