Couple 69 Vette Questions...
2nd, how much cargo space is there? I know that the 69 does not have a rear hatch like my 88 does, so is it like convertable where there is space behind the seats?
3rd I've never had a carburated engine, are they hard to maintain? I have a friend that said you have to adjust it everyday. Any truth to this?
4th, just a general 69 question. Whats the ratio of manual to autos for 69?
No - some have a removeable rear window.

Not much. In a coupe there is enough for a small suitcase.

No - I've reset mine twice just because it's fun - never really had too. People who bought C3s new are just like people who buy C5s today. 80% of them don't want to ever touch the engine. they would nevaer had put up with daily adjustments.
"4th, just a general 69 question. Whats the ratio of manual to autos for 69?"
No idea!
2) Not much cargo space. The coupe has more than the vert, but there is not much space there anyway.
3) Carbs are easy, as long as you have a decent one that is set up right. An incorrectly set up carb can be a total pain in the butt. It takes a little work to get it all working right, but once you find the right carb setup, they are VERY reliable. Mine has fired on the first turn over the last two times after doing some major engine work.
4) There were more manuals than autos in 69, by quite a bit, I think.

2) Almost none. I can fit my T-Tops back there but not too much else
3) NO, rarely unless for performance

1) C3's from 68-72 have a removeable rear window. There are a coouple of latches to flip and the rear window comes right out. Pretty slick. There's a tray to store the window in that folds down from the top of the compartment area.
2) Cargo space..hmmm...well, I could probably fit 2-3 sets of golf clubs back there. My clubs will fit straight across the back. Soft bag and my driver barely fits. Throw the t-tops in and the room goes away in not time. What do you need to put back there?
3) Carbs? Heck no. They're easy! I have a Holley on mine and I've "adjusted" it...lets see...practically never. I changed the jets once in the past 4 years. I've cleaned it a couple of times. Other than that it's been maintenance free.

8161 Autos for a total production run of 38,762
I was looking in the "Corvette Black Book" and did some math to come up with the automatics but I had a different number come up.
The 38,762 total production run is correct but here's everything else I did. I subtracted these numbers from 38,762
M20 - 16,507 = 22,255
M21 - 13,741 = 8,514
M22 - 101 = 8,413
The number 8,161 you show above is indeed the number of Turbo H-M Auto transmissions sold in 1969, but now where is the discrepency of 252; the difference between 8,413 and 8,161?

I haven't went to look at it real close yet, but i think i will today.
If i see a "427" on the side of hood scoop, I might be sold there.
Basicly this would be a weekend cruiser some time daily driver.
I already have another car as a daily driver, its just that I never drive it  I always drive my 88.
