I started with a complete L88 hood that did'nt fit right. It had big gaps on the sides. Like it was to narrow. It had the correct curve up at the rear so that was'nt an issue. When I cut the scoop part out of the hood I left a few inches to work with. (see my pics above) It looks like you've got your scoop sitting where it should be but I'm not sure how you can make it curve up at the rear. Thats going to take some fabricating that I did'nt have to do.

1) put the l88 piece where you want it and mark the hood
2) cut the hood
3) fit the scoop with tabs as shown and glass it in
4) determine the extra height needed
5) cut down the length of the scoop halfway between the top where it is flat and where the hood starts - stop cutting before you get to where it begins to curve towards the point at the nose of the hood
6) use tabs on either side to spread the opening you just cut (which will raise the back) you probably will only need to add .5 to 1 inch at the back (closest to the windshield)
7) glass it in
