I have the same set up. I have not got the hood back on, but be prepared for a crap load of bracket mods. The intake needs to be ground down on the drivers rear corner where the kick down bracket mounts. You will also have to re build the steel brake line that comes off the back of the carb, and also the throttle cable bracket does not work. Good luck.lolol I will post pictures of mine as i build it.

Grumpy, I'm very interested in more detail and or pics of your issues and fixes.
Looking into a 2101 with a Quadrajet on my '77 and obviously the more I can plan for up front, the quicker we ride again.

You should have no issues with the Qjet.. the problem is all the brackets are designed for the QJ,,,, once you change it you have to come up with ways to hold everything in place.. Thats why I just went with getting my QJ rebuilt when i did my zz4 swap.. I tried like 4 carbs from summit and nothing would work with out major mods.. I even tried a rebuilt qj from them and they all were crap... Found a great qj rebuilder and loving it..
Hey Ganey or anyone? Will the 2701 fit with the 1406? it doesnt look good. Has anybody done this? I will swap out intake and carb before i spend money on a new hood and paint.
Grumpy
Yes, it should fit. W/ the Carter depending on the final setup a 14x3 air cleaner could be an issue. There are 14x2.5 filters & shorter. Since it would be expected to have less than a 1/2" dropbase, 14x2.5 should be fine for 350.
I just install the edlebrock esp and 1406 carb last weekend on my 77. Used a locar braket for kick down and adapted existing braket for throttle. I used a 2107 edlebrock 14x3 with a 1 inch drop base breather and have 3/4 inch clearence under stock hood.

Mine will not fit.............. I need to try a 2.5 or a 2 inch air filter. The 2701 and 1406 is too tall.
I have a 69 / 427 air cleaner as well. i imagine it would fit with a holley under it, but i am not going to go through all that. I am sure the 350 will get enough air with a 2.5" K&N filter.
ok mine fits now lol. I had to use a drop base, a 3" filter and a flat top. The contoured top will not fit. Not as critical on a eddy carb as the vent tubes are not an issue like they are on a holley.
