If your 81 will remain stock, you will need a bung in the header for the oxygen sensor. If you are converting it to non computer control by replacing the carb, dist and lockup then you can use a set without the bung for the sensor. You can always weld in a sensor bung yourself as well.

I like the way Dynomax full length ceramic headers fit in my '80. Clearance around the clutch Z-bar and starter are excellent, and they clear the spark plugs and motor mounts well too. IMO, there are a pretty good value. I bought mine from Summit.

I am going to weld O2 sensor bungs at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock on the exhaust pipes just behind the header collectors.

I am also wanting to put the Dynomax ceramic headers on my 1981. Can someone please give the part number they used for these as I am having a hard time figuring out which ones to use?

No, those 3/4 length are not the ones.

Here are links to the headers.

Std. Dynomax no. 85008

Hedman has one for air tubes for emission setups.

Still a great price! The finish on mine are so-so in a few spots, but these are still the best value in headers IMO.
