Does the cam button "float" in place? Every thing is Comp Cams.. cam, timing chain, and the button. The button would fall out of place if it wasn't for me or the timing cover holding it in place.. I ask this because the gear drive i was going to run held the button in place.

The little lock tab plate will hold it in place,,,but honestly it can't go anywhere once you install cover. Understand that you will need to adjust end play by trimming the button or working on the cover. Looking for .005-.010" or so.
