I used a place in Clifton N.J. about 5 years ago. They charged me around $150 I recall. As far as I know they only fix whats broke and check/replace the belts that drive the tape player. They also adjust the antenna AM and the tape eject function/linkage on older models.

I agree with the rest. He is very nice to work with. He fixes what is broken AND fixes things that might soon cause problems. His prices are fair and I even had him put in an ipod jack for me
