I have now moved into the ranks of Vette ownership. I picked it up last weekend, but not without some problems on the way home. :(
The engine and oil temp guage didn't work and I lost the brakes in Rockford IL. I am looking for references for Vette mechanics in the Twin Cities area. Any help would be appreciated.
Re: Moving over here & need some Minnesota help (MNHoosier)
WELCOME :D not only welcome to Minnesota but welcome to the greatest Corvette resource around. A few months back in either Vette magazine or Corvette Fever they had a survey with reccomended Vette mechanics by States--I'll look around--maybe someone else on here might be more organized-hee hee
Re: Moving over here & need some Minnesota help (MNHoosier)
good luck with the help, i dont have a recommendation just homesick, i moved from the cities before i ever had a vette got my first while in florida, i imagine it would be very cool to cruise around lake calhoun and lake harriet on a sunny afternoon the upside to florida though is 12 month cruising...although the big block get pretty toasty in the summer...enjoy
Re: Moving over here & need some Minnesota help (OldSlowVette)
Old Slow,
I am originally from Indy. I've been up here for about 5 years and know almost NOBODY.
Thanks all for your welcome.
I checked the master cylinder last night and it has fluid. I guess that means I'll need a new master. I might also update the lines while I'm at it. If that doesn't work, I guess I'll have to take it to a shop.
Re: Moving over here & need some Minnesota help (MNHoosier)
MNHoosier...don't be afraid to have Wardsports help with your brake problem, it probably won't be as expensive as you think. Seeing that you just purchased your Vette, Doug will also do an inspection and let you know exactly what your dealing with as far as the weak points and strong points of your Corvette. I'm happy to say that my list of "to do's" is coming to an end later this month after 3 years (if thats possible).
