Any ideas?
My L-48 is now modified to the point where it is pushing about 350hp.

Thanks,

Stew

I'd say 180, if memory serves me right. I've heard running to cold creates more wear on engine components and hot is not good either. Have your local parts place get you a Robertshaw #330-180. Thats the high flow type, it's the same one Stewart pumps puts 3- 3/16" holes in so there is a constant flow of coolant even when thermostat is closed. The Mr Gasket one looks identical to it in the Jegs catalog. It'll flow more and it seems to be more accurate on it's opening temp. If your not running any smog stuff, it needs coolant temp higher to trigger some of it's functions.

I would go with 180. I have 192 but without mods.

Definetly a 180, that's what I run in my modified L48.
