I made this, yay for me. Made it out of polyester fleece, matte and resin and Bondo. I primered it today. Need to fill a few pot holes and I'll finish it in satin black tomorrow.
It's going to provide a new home for my Mustang e-brake (if it works I'll report back with more info) and my T56 short shifter.

That's stunning! What a great idea, and it still keeps the stock look...only way cooler!! How long did that take for you to do that, from start to finish??
My 95 TA had a one piece plastic console that was horrible, squeaky freaky thing. That would be cool with some little secret doors so you can get to underneath the window switches etc without taking the entire console out, just in case.
I've often thought of a one piece console for my 80, but I had the idea of a wood carved console, but fiberglass sounds a lot easier lol.
Still wondering how you going to attach it. Same little bolt holes as old console?

Longer than I want to admit. It had better work.
The e-brake area got messed up. When I wrapped the stock rubber piece with the polyester fleece, it distorted it. So I needed to sand and fill and reglass one spot to get it flat-ish.
I spent a couple hours a day, for a few days. Over the course of a few weeks. I usually only get to work on it during the weekends in between seeing my gf.

I would be awesome to have a custom aluminum console plate so that you can get to your controls without taking out the console (which means taking out the seats).
Love the look though. Very well executed and not too over-the-top!

I actually had that before I made this. It was made out of stainless steel. Problem was it streched out near the top and separated from the stock piece after a while.
You can prob find pics of it on here somewhere by searching under my name.
And I don't think I'll need to remove the seats. Even with my racing seats there should be enough room to lift it up. I can just leave the rear screws out.

That is sweet. Raise the back end about 2" for an arm rest, cover the whole thing in foam padded leather or vinyl, and make a few hundred to sell. Then retire to a small island with nice curvy mountainous roads and curvy beautiful bikini clad native women that can cook and bake.......and make ice cream. Wake up Bee Jay.
I'll take one in tan leather.
