Default Lazy Headlights - then nothing

76 Vette,
Need direction on where to start. Hope this post is not too long.

I have had a lazy drivers side headlight for a very long time (it did open up but very slow). Last week it did not want to open without manual help. Both lights did close fine when switched off.

This past weekend the passenger headlight refused to open without me pulling up on it too.

All along I figured it was a bad left side actuator that made the light go up slow. Now the passenger side stopped without giving the lazy eye indication.

Does it appear that both actuators can go out within days of each other?

Where should I start to look.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Just check both. You can check them in about 30 seconds. Pull the forward vacuum line off and put you finger over the hole. If you can operate the lid, the boot is gone.
