After replacing practically EVERYTHING on the underside of my car, I STILL have that damned vibration between 45 and 50 mph. I believe it's because the rear alignment has never been done properly. I doubt the shims have ever been out before I removed them. Anyway, I spoke to the guy that will do the alignment today and he said if I provide exact specs, he will spend the time to get it right where I want it. He seemed encouraged by the fact that I had just gone through everything. Anyway, what is the best setting for all the adjustments both front and rear? The car will be used for regular highway driving.
Thanks!
Wow - those setting are way away from the stock GM recommendations.
I take it these work better than the factory ones? Are these similar to the Vette Brakes settings that the others talk about?
Thanks!
I arrived at my specs with tire temp gauge at Auto-X and having to comprimize for the street. I tried driving around with a toe out condition and squirley would be the best discription.
The vette brakes and products book for C-3 specs for street are:
castor 2.75
camber 0 deg neg
toe in 1/32
toe rear 1/8
camber 0 deg neg
Advanced street
castor 2.75
camber .25 deg neg
toe 0.0
rear toe in 1/8
camber .50 deg neg
track baseline
caster 2.75
camber 1-2 neg
toe out 0-1/16th
