I am doing an ls1 swap in my c3 and was told I can fit F-body headers in there with a little bit of work to them, but when I read the lsx posts I did not see anyone who had f-body long tube headers, does that mean what I was told is not true? I know speed hound makes a nice pair of headers but I was hoping to get away with f-body headers since my friend will give them to me for free. If the F-body wont fit does anyone know of a pair of long tube headers that will fit for a cheaper price? Thanks for your help.
i have a set of hooker super comp headers on my ls6 motor. my headers were made for a z28 camaro. the passenger side fit after i cut off the emmisions tab. then the number 1 cylinder tube had to be cut and modified. it was very easy and cheap to do if u know a good welder. i will post pics tomorrow if u would like to see them
I am looking for some long tube LS headers for my swap and found the speed hound is no longer in business,
and I've seen a few others but I think they are asking way to much, $800 or more is a little ridiculous to
pay for a set of headers.
What long tube headers have others used, Is there any F body headers that will work with out to much
modification? I no longer have a steering box or any of the original linkage, I have installed a rack and pinion
setup from a 92 grand am, it's basically the same as the steeriods setup. I would like to have a set that is
ceramic coated.
