Ive been searching for plans, most of the older posts the pics are gone! Also the plans that I can find say that the dolly wasnt that good, to wide and no nose support. I was looking for something i could build, hopefully with better dimensions! TIA
Hi b267,
Here's a plan for the one I built. It's made out of framing lumber since I'm 'welding impaired'. The bigger the wheels the easier it is to move around, especially outside.

Alan

I see you supported the area under the radiator. What dimensions and positioning fo you have for this. I have not been able to find anything to build my rack. Your assistance is appreciated.
Hi Skip,
After the body was on the dolly I mounted the 2 front up-rights to the rear of the dolly's front member. I can't remember where they supported the front clip. That was about 6-7 years ago.

Found some plans on here somewhere (I'll look around on my computer). I just scabbed some 2X4s vertically on the dolly for front end support and attached them to the rad support holes. I also modified since this pic with some cross braces and 2X6s along the outside that run down the rocker channel. Use bigger wheels though, kind of a PITA to roll around by myself sometimes.
You can kinda see the tips of the 2Xs near the rad support in this pic.
Nolan Adams wrote a good book called "The Body Lift Workbook" on lifting the body and also included plans for a wooden dolly that was originally designed for a C2. All you need to change for a C3 is to put a 4 x 4 on top of the front to support the nose where the core support is normally bolted. I suggest making it taller than in the book to make it like the one made by MyRed 69. It sure makes it easier to do body work on the sides or to get under it.
I decided to build my own after I sifted through several plans on the forum...all of which did not provide access to the underbody. Best decision ever.
Get a set of frame dimensions and draw up a plan...it isn't that tough.
