Changed fuel hoses 1978 vet
Well I did it, a buddy and I changed the rubber fuel hoses on my 1978 WITHOUT dropping the tank. the return line was fairly easy the main one was alittle tricky but it can be done, hardest part was getting the knife in there to cut the hoses off the metal line, guess 30 years the rubber almost became part of the metal.. just kidding.. but it can be done, took the fuel door off and we took turns turning the socket on the clamps.. you can only crank it in small incraments and when one of us got frustrated. the other took over, overall it took about an hour.. good luck and if you are interested PM me and I will give you a play by play of what we did..
