Another vote for Flowmaster 50 series. That's what I have on mine with Hooker Super Comps and true dual exahaust. They can be quiet if you want them to be, but definitely make some noise at WOT. No drone in mine either.
Guys, sitting here bashing other peoples exhaust is getting no where. If one thing I have found is the exhaust tone is like peoples taste in women. Everybody likes something different. What someone thinks is sweet music to your ears is very annoying to someone else. I always take the approach to questions like this is to have the OP go and listen to as many systems as he can and make the decision for himself.

Im not bashing anybodys exhaust system,i have had flowmasters and i do love the sound of them, but that drone goes right through you.And if people dont know that ,telling them this might save them some money
Also you cant hear the drone from listening to a video, you can only experience that by driving in the car.
You have to be in the car to experience it. Mine seems to have gone away. I have also been through 3 different engines and now 3 different transmissions. A 4,5 and now a 6 speed. I either do not notice it or the rpm cruising is different and I don't get the drone.

I'm not bashing anyone. I'm bashing a product. If someone else bought that same product either they got fooled like me or they like a quiet exhaust.
Flowmaster for some stupid reason, lists the Deltaflows for the C3 as opposed to the regular 40s series which are the same dimensions. Neither of which will fit without custom pipe work btw. I ordered a set way back when, paid good money for them and to have them installed. Only to fire it up and notice it was only slightly louder than stock. My high flow cat made more of a difference in exhaust sound than the mufflers did.
So like I said, Deltaflows are like quiet flowmasters. And IMO, they suck!
You know, I'm not a big Flowmaster fan- I didn't care for the drone or the performance when I put a kit on my Camaro. However, between the muffs & that cam I gotta give you a big on the sound of your Vette. Really very sweeeet!
Looking at all the vids you guys have posted and thinking a lot of my options I think I'm going with flowmasters.
The deltas are too quiet for me. and I still love the sound of the flowmasters. I think I'm going original 40 because the 44 is to race car sounding to me, I kinda like that wild sound of the original 40.
Monday I'll be getting them installed with some 2.5 from my hooked comps back.
Any good shops in so cal. I'm in Pasadena and the closer the better as I wouldn't have to drive as far with just headers haha. I've already been to a few shops and they want about 400+tax and about an extra 80 for mendrel bent. This sound like a decent deal? (no tips)

I got a better deal than that on a mandrel bent dual 3" system from the Muffler Man in Placentia, CA. Give him a call and get a quote.
My $.02, Flowmaster super 44's are badass. I have them installed in the stock position, none of that inches from the collector bs. They do have a significant drone which helped me pinpoint all of the loose stuff in my interior Tightened everything up and now the cab is quiet, drone still vibrates you a bit but I really like it. They have a deep throaty rumble at low rpms that I frequently set car alarms off with when I am parking in the garage at my college. At high rpms they sound really free flowing, great tone. Ok sorry for the 44 rant, that was more like $.05 but if you like to pose your car as mild-aggressive than 44's are great.
p.s. Super 40's are too big to install on a vette, they are truck mufflers. The 44's are the small car alternative that approximates the sound of the 40's.
Your Super 44s sound more like death metal and wind noise.
To tell you the truth I don't here much difference between your mufflers and mine. I don't run cats so mine are going to sound a lot different than yours running cats. It sounds pretty good. To say mineis only slightly louder than stock I would highly doubt it. I ran the stock mufflers for a couple of years, these are way louder than stock when on the go pedal. Maybe I'm showing my age a little but I'm not trying to call every law officer within miles to my car either.
These flow way better then Flowmaster, sound similar although not as loud. These do drone in my car from 1400-1800rpms even with an X pipe but....that is w/3" pipes so it makes it worse. It's very quiet at freeway speeds though and sound good at WOT as you can hear it here:
Just throwing another option out there. BTW I had flowmaster 40s on it with 2 1/2" pipes first and this sounds way better. And like Highhat mentioned, I feel way more exhaust blowing out now at idle. Flowmasters are restrictive.
I also have flowmasters on my 1968 427. Headman headers and X-pipe with 2,5" tubes.
They drone inside the car by low rpm and I hate this! I´ll go with Magnaflows as soon as possible. Here you can hear the flowmasters.

And that's the problem- it can sound great from the outside like yours does but living with it as a driver can be a whole different thing.
