Default Bolt's gone, FINALLY!

I picked my intake up today. $30 to drill and tap, and they even left a replacement bolt in there for me. I had it done at western auto. They had to burn out my ez-out. I think $30 is pretty good considering....

Anyway, hopefully tonight I can go get some new gaskets and silicone, then I can put this thing back together tomarrow.

It was fun until that faitful "snap". If it wasn't for that crap, I would have been done a month ago, and I could be out cruisin right now with the top's off. Just as long as it goes smoothly this time, I'll be happy. I'm going to get some silicone and am considering putting it around the t-stat along with the gasket. The t-stat housing was leaking, which caused me to tighten more, and snap. So this time I'm going to be scared to tighten the housing.

Alwyn: They've been here forever. They are very busy here, because they do a lot of small engine repairs(lawnmowers, etc). Thats most of their business. When I walked in with my intake, there where like 5 chainsaws, 10 lawnmowers, and a head off a truck they where rebuilding. When I picked it up, everything in there was tagged and ready to go, and there where more chainsaws and mowers, etc.

Daniel

Get the T-stat housing with the o-ring in it. It will not leak. AND, they're chrome :D

If ya mention the manifold is a vette piece around here the price aways seems to be higher so I always say chevy keeps things in the ballpark good luck with the rest of the job. :smash:  :chevy :seeya

ok, Im at another stand still. I cannot continue until I find one other person willing to help. Im hoping my friend will get off work soon so he can come help. All thats left is to drop the intake(I guess I could do it myself, but the $%)$^ is heavy, and I don't wanna mess up). Then that same person needs to help me put the hood back on...after that they can go about their merry way.

The friend I found to help me, is ALWAYS over here when I don't want him over. I finally need some help with something, and he's busy...go figure.
