Default 1968 Tripower Vacuum Lines?

Anybody got a diagram of how the vacuum lines are suppose to connect? I want to try stock first before I do the mod to change to the manifold vacuum. Need to see choke pull off and vacuum advance as well.

Thanks,
Rick L.

I've got that, but it doesn't show the choke pull off or the vacuum advance lines. At least, I don't see them. The AIM diagram is just as vague, and the Chassis Service and Shop manuals don't have anything.

Thanks,
Rick L.

That's great, thanks! What does the line that runs behind the choke pull off connect to? I don't see any nipple on mine, but I might not be looking in the correct place.

Thanks again,
Rick L.

Right in the front of the center carb by the intake manifold. Glad it helped you out.

Turns out the nipple that is behind the choke pull off on my center carb is missing. Looks like Bubba may have pulled it out and plugged the hole. I can see the nipple on the exploded view on Holleys site, but it doesn't have a part number seperate from the main body. Have an e-mail into Holley to see if I can get just the nipple.

I hate Bubba!!!!

Hi

If that nipple is missing, the secondaries will not work correctly.
The only reason to block off this vacuum nipples is if the setup is converted to mechanical 2ndaries.

I bought my tripower rather cheap from a guy that never got it to work. He was pissed off. I found both 2ndarie carb nipples blocked off inside after I disassembled the carbs for overhaul. Unblocked this holes and the tripower workes likes intended.

Funny thing is, that the ignition advance take off is not full manifold.
It works, but would probably work better on full manifold.

Any thoughts ?

Rgds. Günther
