Default Snapped a spindle

Didn't think that would happen. VBP TA assembly.

Think I need something stronger. Who?

VBP TA uses stock spindles. Only the arm is different.

Van Steel sells various upgrades. Tom's Differentials are the ultimate but be prepared to pay.

I gave Tom 2k for my Rear end. Don't mind spending for good quality.

Sheared it right in two. Awesome.

FWIW, I went with 1/2" lugs when I upgraded to HD spindles.

For the $$$ I think Tom's KA spindles are cheaply priced especially since they are dual drilled for 7/16 or 1/2 studs. Anyone who has ever fought through redrilling a factory spindle for big studs will agree!

The weak link will always break. Scroll down the page to the 1350 kit with 31 spline outers and 30 spline inners. That is the way I went. plus a 12 bolt. Now my weak link is the U joints. They usually give you a little warning.

Pulled out on road and once straight, punched it hard a lit up until third when I heard clunk clunk. Thought it was trans until I saw shock boot torn up.

Yep.. 550 sounds about right.
From everything I read here.. as you approach 600hp with big fat tires - it's time to start beefing up the driveline.

How is that T&L 408? There were threads on here up to two years ago on them. I was always on the side of it is an awesome engine for the money, probably the best crate engine deal out there. Others have trashed them and there are some that have had issues with getting additional parts, contact problems and year long delays. Just wondering about your experience. Auto or manual trans? It sounds like it is making good power!

Horrible customer service. Took forever and they never answer calls.

The engine is incredible! Really mean sounding. I also run a 150 shot on top of the 548.

I haven't been on here in a long time. Got the car done and been showing and beating on it. It scares the hell out of me and I LOVE it.

My machinist is the same way. Always in the shop so you never get an answer, takes twice as long as originally thought because of the volumn of business he has. The race teams come first, you are always second. And builds a great engine with unmatched attention to detail.
Guess that is the tradeoff, the best builders are always busy and backlogged. The skills in the shop don't neccessarily transfer to the office. Glad your engine is as expected.

Tech M500

I originally thought they sucked cause they spun and never left rubber on the ground. I guess when they heat up, they stick.

I had major problems with my distro. I bought one of those group buys from Speed Direct and kept shredding the gear. It seemed there was too much play in the shaft up and down compared to a MSD billet I bought with a POLYESTER gear. That is great!

AED 750 and changed front squirter to 35 from tnl 31 seems to be snappier.

Thinking of taking it to the Glen this summer
