Default Started the Motor

Hey guys,

I had everything timed perfectly. I was going to drive though Tulsa OK where my vette is being restored on my way to my new home Reston, VA. Met the guys at 9am sharp to start the motor. She would turn over but just did not seem to want to start. They fiddled with the timming and priming the carb and then BAMB, BOOM, wholly side pipes Batman. They had put the sidepipes on the car with the new JCL spiral baffles but had not tightend the pipes down at the collector. When the engine backfired it blew the sidepipes completely off the collectors with a report that sounded like a howitzer. She then proceeded to die. I was in a hurry to get on the road cause I had a deadling in St. Louis so I had to leave without hearing my baby run. What a bummer. Now I wont be able to be there for the break-in which really sucks. Made them promise to take the phone in there when they get it started so I can at least listen through the cell phone hahaha. More to report as soon as it develops.
