71 Convertible: Please Build My Stereo
The last time I installed a car stereo was 1983 (Pioneer Super Tuner was all the rage). Having said that, I like some help selecting stereo gear for my 71 convertible.
I don't want a rolling boom box, but I'd like to be able to hear/feel the music going down the highway with the top down at 70 MPH, so I guess a sub woofer is in order.
I'm willing to get replacement kick panels and a new dash bezel to cut up. Other than that, I don't want to do any irreversible mods.
What would you suggest for gear, and where should I buy?

same for me for my 70, but next year.. not in this years budget..
I would want a ipod connection, a USB jack for the music chips, and MP3 DISK and DVD disK as well as standard CD. maybe a built in GPS Screen.. and the power with no distortion so I can hear it at 70 MPH with the top down.. which I know means top notch speakers..
