Now that I am putting my 1969 engine back together I will have to address a problem I have had. The original carb has a helicoil (I think that is how to spell it) inserted in the fuel conection of the carb. I have tried many fuel fittings that match the original but coldn't stop the leak, (I tried it on my Camaro). Anyone had conection problems like this? Multipal gaskets do not work because the fitting will not go in strait.
It seems the helicoil wasn't inserted correctly. My carb fuel inlet threads were stripped so what I did was to use a external fuel filter and welded the filter housing to the carb using JB weld permanently, its been like that for a year or so with no problems.

I heard that there was or is a repair kit for it, ever heard of it?

If the threaded insert has not been installed straight, the inlet will never seal. Your only possibility to save the bowl is to remove the insert and re-tap the bowl correctly, hoping that there is enough material remaining to re-install another insert into the square threads.
I can do the threading and insert installation for you, but I can't guarantee that the bowl can be saved if it has been previously incorrectly machined.

Those are the slightly oversized self-tapping fittings. They will put metal particles through the carb, and will last about 2 removal cycles before stripping out again. Use them if you have a stripped carb and you're trying to sell the car to some other schmuck. Don't use them on something you're intending to keep.

I want to do it right, I may sell the car someday but I still want it corect, the car is a #'s car and almost 100% original.
