Door latch plastic cover?

Door latch plastic cover?

I have my drivers door apart to replace the outside handle and power lock actuator. I noticed looking into the passenger side door that theres a plastic cover over the door latch mechanism,but the dirvers door cover is missing?
Where can i get one of these covers?
I looked in Ecklers catalog and corvette central and i didn't see it listed.
Forgot to mentions it's a 81'.

That's an anti-theft cover for your lock. Probably have to check with someone who sells used parts.

That makes sense,since the passenger side looks like it hasn't been apart to many times.
I thought it maybe for keeping water off of the latch.

And since were talking about the security system whats the easiest way to disable it without hacking anything up?

Do you mean the electric alarm system? I was having problems with my alarm system on my 79, so I just removed it; wiring, horn, and switches, etc.
