Default How do I remove the outer door skins?

I need to perform some repairs on my 1980. It's just to darn hard trying to get my hand up inside the door via the small access panel. How do I remove the outer door skin? If I do remove it, can I do so in such a way that it is easy to reinstall?

The way I did it was to heat the inner panel a little strech at a time with a propane torch and then slip a sharp thin putty knife between the skin and door panel. Go Slow so you don't crack the skin. Once its off clean up the remaining panel adhesive. Once your ready to put it back on you need to be sure and not squeeze the adhesive all out of the seam, there is 1/16" or so around most of the door, more in places. Its a slow fitup, but when your done you can have nice straight tight door seams

I used the same basic method but used a wagner paint stripper/heat gun rather than a propane torch.

I've used the heat gun for door skins also. Works on other body panels as well

Wow! I've been wanting to do this to remove the heavy side beams. Please take pictures as you do this, especially of the insides of the door from the outside.
Thanks
