I discovered my 74 350 195hp has been converted to a HEI distibutor. when I discovered it had been changed we were diagnosing a stalling problem, especially when cold it would not stay running at all. it looked like it was running about 32 degrees BTC. so we pulled the distributor out and moved it one tooth and got it to the stock 8 degrees BTC but it didn't fix the stall proplem although it improved.
it doesn't have the stock cam, although I am not sure what was put in it. the carburator I think is a Edelbrock 1405 with the electric choke I added. the carburator we installed on another car and it didn't have a stall problem
any experience with the stalling problem or known issues to switching to the electronic ignition with this motor?
