OK friends, doing the old auto to 4 speed conversion. Question is which GM bellhousing can I use with a 168 tooth flywheel and an 11" clutch , I know the 621 is the bell of choice for the novice numbers matching person, But frankly, I don't give a da+n about the numbers. Is there other bells that will work ?
Besides the 621, you can use:
553
444
697
982
They are all passenger car 11" clutch bellhousings.
With the:
756
486
They are also 11" bells, but have a larger center hole (truck). Which means you need to buy an adapter that is about $45.
To the best of my knowledge.sometimes
Hope this helps.

Gene, Are your bells US made ? I am still looking. I bought one of the 621 copy's and I thought it was less than desirable, sent it back today.
Yes mine are US made. I know this will sound like I am bragging but you will not be disappointed in ours. I have a fellow competitor that wants me to sell to him because he is probably getting the one like you received. Spyder web cast I call it you can see what looks like cracks. Ours is smooth sand cast. Plus it is 1.5 times thicker than the factory. A very high quality piece. All CF members get them with a free Fork boot and pivot ball. The Bell kit comes with the bolts and inspection cover as well.
