i was just wondering if anyone (some i am sure) have the same similar set up for power and transmisson as i do and what dyno (rwhp) and 1/4 mile times i can expect. i have 383 stroker freshly built by agostino racing in toronto can.and it is making well over 425 hp with a rebuilt and beefed up th350 tranny with shift kit and 3200 rpm stall converter.i also installed a new prothane urethane bushing kit in the whole car hoping to stiffen it up ALOT.i am hoping it is at least as fast as a stock c5 considering it makes 345 hp,we will have to see in a couple of weeks thanks for your help
Re: wondering what numbers to expect! (stroked 76)
I just ran my 383 for the first time and my best of 2 runs in the 1/8 mile was 8.58. I'm only running 30 degrees total advance and have yet to do any WOT carb tuning. My times were ever so sllightly faster than what I was running in my old '94 'vette which consistently pulled 13.1 1/4 mi times.
I AM NOT PUTTING THEM DOWN. I have one, and i love it, but it is obvious to me that they are kind of pigs compared to many cars (though not the ones of their days). They are overweight, and the suspension is from 1963. I think, and I think many people would agree with me, that they are kind of pigs. IMHO, bushings will not make the C3 pig handle like a C5. I stand by that. :reddevil
it'll take more than buschings to make that C3 pig handle like a C5
Ahhh buddy, I didn't read anything about him saying that his car was going to out handle a C5 ? All that I read was that he hopes that it will be faster than one (i.e. straight-line performance). Maybe you should read a little closer before spouting off comments like that.
Re: wondering what numbers to expect! (bence13_33)
actually the c3 and c5 weight about the same(see the other thread)
beyond that it comes down to rim sizes...I think you could tune a c3 suspension to run with a c5...but keep in mind, a c3 and a c5 use different style suspensions...however, when both are at their best, I think they'd along side each other(assuming the same HP/TQ).

I know MattG and Snowman from the C5 forum, and quite a few others on the forum have gotten good results from Agostino, so I think you will be pleasantly surprised at what you run with your car  . If they say it is making 425 HP, I fully expect they are talking about net HP.
i was wondering if you had to do anything to your car to put that big of a tire on and also if your rims are also 15 inch because that looks awesome.A very fast and mean look
