Cam Swap and more
Comp Cams sells a kit which (I think) has everything I need to do the job. A 268H (Hi Energy) Hydraulic cam, lifters, timing chain/gears, valve springs, spring retainers and locks, and valve seals. My engine is a 1977 L48, has a 4-speed manual and A/C. I believe quite a few guys on the forum are running L48s with this same cam in it, but if someone has some better advice I am open for suggestions.
The kit includes lifters but not pushrods. How important would it be to replace the pushrods while I'm down there? Will the stock hold up? The engine has 96k miles, and the only thing wrong with it is a ticking like noise when I accelerate coming from the right side of the engine (which I hope to fix while I have it all opened up).
Lastly, any advice or tips anyone might have? Thanks.

As far as the pushrods, you should be fine. I think your cam choice is perfect for your setup.
Good luck with all of it. Keep us posted on the progress.
