Yeah here in Texas front plates are required also normally....BUT I have mine registered as an antique so it only needs the rear plate, no annual inspections etc....just pay the piper every 5 yrs for antique plates/registration.
Thanks for the replys.... I will definetly give it a try this weekend...
Anyone tried this with success?
I know it's gonna look like crap without my USA 1 plate on the front...
My car is a 1973 and I put the chrome center grill in (just try to find one of those 73-only parts!) for looks and for cooling - made a difference. Of course, now I have the DeWitt's radiator and that has dropped temps at least 40 degrees...
My 74 used to heat up during the hottest summer months. I replaced the factory radiator after 25 years, & it now works fine. That was over 10 years ago.
I also run no front, plate in Texas. true if it's antique,..but local cops can be
untrained/uneducated, and pull you over anyway.
Cooling, I hard a hard time starting my system and keeping cool, finally got all the air out of the system
and it now stays right at 180 solid, same as the thermostat,
I am running a cleaned and rodded Orginal BB Radiator.
