Default relay rod

Hello All , I'm doing a rebuild on a 72 with power assist steering, and have all steering componets together. My question is the control vlv is hitting the tie rod so it must be bent . My question is can I straighten it enough to move it away from the tie rod?? It have to be realigned any right..

Tierods are cheap enough (under $20) you shouldn't bother to test your theory. Yes, you could bend the arm back but the joint may have taken a shot in a direction is was not likely designed for.

thankx Jerry72. Spent most of the day pulling apart and realigning everything I screwed up when I put it together the first time. Steering box included, but I got a 1.5 round on the wheel in both directions now
