Default Cam identification?

I am rebuilding the engine in a 79 L-82. When I bought the car I was told that the cam had been replaced with a higher performance cam but the seller did not know specifics. I have the cam out and note a few numbers cast or stamped on various locations. Using these numbers, is it possible to find out the brand or specifics of the cam?

Or if it was the original, how could I tell?

I wrote this in another post awhile back, this is what I had-- starting at the end without the steel tip the marking are-on the flat end I have TM30R5 The 'R' is cocked and slightly out of line with the other numbers. the next set of markings are on the shaft two inches down from same end- stamped K1 and on the reverse side#14 with red paint. six inches down - stamped EP-6 w/yellow.From other end (with steel tip) two inches down I have C2 and on the reverse side D2 w/ purple paint. 6 inches down-CWC no paint. Hope this helps

My cam also has stamped numbers on the end and some numbers along the shaft. Can these be used to find out the brand and specifics of the cam?

I have my hopes for you, but I myself am trying to identify a cam that says 'GM' (GM26) and even that turns out to be damn*d hard!
