Default U Joint straps
I have seen post saying both do and dont replace the u-joint straps when replacing universal joints. Can anyone provide a why behing either choice?

I replaced my u-joints with solid u-joints and Van Steel HD u-joint caps since I upgraded my engine to over double the HP I had with the stock engine.

Default So.....
If I am staying with the stock 190HP L81, do the caps need changing with the u-joints?

No need to change your strapes. Unless their rusted, Use spicer joints without grease fittings.
