different wiper motor shaft sizes?
i just put a new wiper motor in my 69, and ive ran into a bit of trouble.
the shaft at the back of the motor, where the big wiper mounting tab goes, is bigger then my old one. which means i cant get the tab on unless i start filing.
were there different size through the years, or is this one just out of spec?

I don't remember what year the bellcrank changed but yes there were different ones. 68-72 I feel sure is the same.. 1973 motor was all by itself.. and then you have 1974-1982 motor was different too.. but I'm not sure when the bellcrank changed.
But the actual shaft should have been the same size with the difference being in the end of the shaft where it is squared off. I may be able to check this in a few days for you.. I'm not sure where I'll be at tomorrow.
