It is what it is. It's urethane. The longer it sits in the sun the worse it will get, as it cools it will go back to normal, normal being the way it looks when it's cool. None of the originals are perfect. You could go fiberglass.

Always park your car upside down every night. At a minimum, it should be parked vertically. Gravity will help correct the problem. You'll probably want to drain the fuel tank before you park it
