If it's the A6 compressor 11 oz is correct. If it's the newer R4 compressor 5 oz is correct. Make sure your blow out all the old oil in the evaporator and the condenser. Do not purge system with the compressor or dryer attached to the system. The R12 system had mineral oil and the new R134a system uses PAG oil. They are not compatable.
You may want to consider using Ester oil in the new system as it is compatable with both oils. That's a "just in case" you leave any old mineral oil behind.
I hope you changed out the dryer and the oriface tube as well.

Don't just "add" oil. If your system was flushed and there's no or very little oil in it, then add oil. To much oil is a bad thing in an AC system, and to much oil will reduce the efficiency of the R134.
I'm going to change the compressor ,dryer and orifice, and I'm going to flush the system and purge it with shop air before putting in the new parts.. I know the pressures with r12 are they the same with 134a
Here's a note that might help. I was unable to blow out the system completely by just applying a steady stream of compressor air to the evaporator and condenser. I had to pressurize the system and then open a valve on a hose connected to the exit side to rapidly release the pressure and blow out the old oil and cleaner.
