I've read some posts where guys have had issues with their adjustable strut rods that have rubber or poly bushings come loose. It kinda makes sense because the geometry would tend to really work a fixed threaded bushing end whereas a swivel joint would allow it to articulate and not bind.
I haven't even driven mine yet and am thinking I should just pickup swivel ends for them and be done with it. Anyone convert to swivel ends from bushings?
If so what kind did you use (strength rating) and what did you add? Seems you need some 3/4 steel tubing to make up the difference in width of the swivel compared to the bushing?
I have the VBP adjustable rods on both of my vettes, 73 and 76. The 73 has poly bushings in it while the 76 has shperical ends. The 73 has been autocrossed (pretty hard by my dad and I) since 1995 with no problems. The 76 had the rods and sperical ends on it when I bought it so I dont' know where the ends came from. If I remember I can get up under there and take some pictures tomorrow. They both seem to work good.
