OK, so i just sent the document out to everyone that i believe requested it but i guess i did not save the PMs that i received so i cannot be sure. If you have requested this document from me and i have not sent it, i promise i'm not ignoring you; i'm just not doing a good job of keeping up with the requests. if i have missed anyone, post again or PM me.
Did a LT1 swap in a 1974 about ten year ago, need an aftermarket bell housing. Although just please be aware you will need to put the transmission in as a bolted unit together. My swap was very tight.
All, thanks to Tony "YELLOW1980" you know longer have to send me a PM and wait for me to forward my blog on my swap of an LT1 into a C3. Here is the link and thanks a million Tony!
The description/documentation of the c3 LT1 swap is fantastic. It's really well written and appears professionally edited. I have read it a few times already in preparation for my journey of an LT1 swap into a 1974 coupe. Thank you!
It also look like you might be a Ben Rich fan (given the pic with the b2). Nice!
There are a number of people on the forum who have put a LT1 into a C3 but there isn't an organized thread about it. Aside from adding an electric fuel pump and wiring in the ECM the rest of the installation should be pretty straightforward.
If you look on ls1tech.com I think there is information about LT1 swaps also.

The LT1 motor is a nice motor but the opti spark is a real pain and expensive to replace. If it goes out or you have problems with it its very hard to change out. I hope this helps. Good luck I hope things work out with whatever you decide to do.
I have successfully installed a LT1 in an 81 corvette and it is smog legal in California. I'm currently trying to figure out how to post the 52 page document that I wrote on my lessons learned.
MrMagic, I am installing a '97 LT1 into my 81' C3 Corvette. I would very much like to take a look at your 52 page document. Is it possible for us to get into contact?

Good Morning Mr Magic
I'm in the middle of that build. Were you able to get the pages posted? It would be interesting to see your trials and tribulations. The wiring is just about complete and I have small details like TV cable (eliminating ASR) and throttle cable. Toying with the "cruise control idea)

Send me a PM and I will email it to you. By the way, I did not use the 700R transmission which requires a TV Cable and adjustment. I used the 4L60E; plug & play!
