Pinging and knocking sounds
I know my timing isnt set just right yet. I havent checked it at normal operating temp. I am getting a little bit of what sounds like knocking and pinging from what sounds like the lifters maybe? Do i need to re adjust my rockers? Or do you think that getting my timing just right will fix that?

Hard to say without hearing it. Pre-ignition 'knock' does just sound like a mechanical metal-on-metal contact, so they might not sound that different, anyway. But, spark knock is a bad deal and can damage your engine components. Don't run it that way unless you are certain that timing is set correctly. If you have hydraulic lifters and they were set properly with engine OFF, they shouldn't be 'clacking'.
