Default Quick tip from the Paint Pros

In general, how much coverage would I expect from a standard 20 oz. cup on a HVLP spray gun? (example: you would expect to refill the cup 2-3 times during an average first coat... less after that...)

Not looking for painful, minute details and rocket science enemas.

Just a ball park idea. Acrylic Enamel with hardener and reducer, one stage finish.

Painting a 77 at home... first time painting with actual, real paint equipment.... so I just wanted to get an idea to help me gauge my coverage.

* Big departure for a man nicknamed "paint can". *

Under "Forums" "General Corvette" "Paint & Body" you could probably get some help. I use HVHP or I'd offer an opinion.

Whe I did mine (base-clear 2 stage) I used about two 20 oz cups a little over 3/4 full. With the single stage, it might be a little bit more since the single goes on a little thicker
