Default Header Temperaturs

I just check the temp of my hooker headers with an IT temp gauge (I know not that accurate) and all of them were running around 250 to 300 except for number 5. It was around 450. Any ideas on what would cause this. I'm assuming bad valve adjustments.
Thanks
Scott

If the you have shiny headers then you wont get a correct reading, it would be way lower than the real number, you have to point it to a mat or black surface to get a real temp reading.
