Rear hard brake line question
Hello all, My rear bearings are begining to fail. I am going to send the spindle/ta assembly to bairs for rebuild, My question is how what can I do to keep brake fluid from escaping while I am having these replaced. Could I just tape up the opening with duct tape? Vehicle will be down for 7-14 days. Any suggestions are appreciated.

You will still loose some fluid but you can slip some vacuum hose over the fitting then fold it in half and put a rubber band around it.

I usually cut the line with side cutters at the fitting at the rubber line,remove the fitting from the rubber line end with a socket (no rounding) and install a new straight line and leave it pointing up towards the inside of the fender,it wont leak being that high. Then bend the loop back in once the caliper is bolted in place.
