Default Holley flooding

My '69 350 manual was running well but it started cutting out when I rolled up to the lights, and I had to turn up the idle speed to keep it running. When I looked into the Holley 600, petrol was pouring into the rear two chambers, and the plugs are very sooty. It looks like the floats have started to stick and cause it to overflow, but how would I adjust it so I can get it back to the correct setting?

How old is the carb? May be in need of a rebuild. Needle and seat may need cleaning and then adjust floats. Does your carb have sights in bowl to check level? What is the level? Knowing the age of the carb will get yu more feedback.

Good luck.

Pull the needle/seat assemblies out, blow them out real well, and re-install them with a little lube on the o-rings and gaskets. Set the float levels to the bottom of the sight holes and you're set to go. This is a normal maintenance/procedure item on a Holley style carb, so you may as well start getting good at it...
