Default add electrical source

I want to add a second electrical source behind the seats. It could be an outlet style or second cigerette lighter.

How can this be done?

(I want to plug in something without running a wire from the current cigerette lighter. Also, I would like it to "turn off" when the car is not running if possible.)

In order to have it turn OFF with the ignition key, the source has to come from the fuse block. There should be a terminal there that is labled IGN. You can push a wire with a spade lug on that terminal, then run the wire under the door sill plate and the carpeting to put it where you need. There should also be a fuse or circuit breaker in that line to protect it should it draw too much current. The fuse size and the wire size should be appropriate for the current draw from whatever you want to hook up to the power socket. Connect that wire [and fuse] to the positive terminal on whatever socket you install. Connect the negative terminal on that socket to an electrical ground source or to the negative lead connector on the battery.

how do I determine the wire size once the current draw is determined?

'Google' "wire size capacity AWG". You will find tables that show current carrying capability vs. wire size. They are very conservative tables. The fuse you select should be 1.5-2.0 times the expected current draw. If you are connecting a motor...or other item that has a 'starting current spike' in its behavior...use a SLO-BLO fuse of the appropriate size.
