Default Headlight Actuator Rod/Clevis Adjustment

I have new actuators (in a 1977) and was wondering if the actuator rod coming out of the accordion dust boot and screwed into the clevis is used to adjust the height of the doors?

I ask because my passenger side headlight does not go up all the way and it does not go down all the way. (1/4 " both ways). I wonder if I pulled the actuator rod out too much during the installation.

I have read many of the posts on this subject but wanted to focus on the actuator rod and the clevis as the adjustment point.

Yep... that did it. Perfect fit now.... nice and level. Just tighten em' down all the way.

Just having a blog conversation with myself... don't mind me.

Hi 81,
I don't mean to burst your bubble but I believe there are 'stops' that set the doors' position, both open and closed. I bet you adjusted the clevis so the door mechanism could reach the 'stop'.
STILL.... well done!
Regards,
Alan
