Default No Fire =(, Please help!!

Hey guys,

So here's the story...

We rebuilt the 350 in my 81 vette, and got the cam broken in.

After breaking in the cam I went to start it again, and it wouldn't turn over (discovered this to be the starter over heating)

I let the car cool down, and tried to start it again, it turned over fine, but now has no fire.

Replaced the Module, coil (Accel brand), and pickup coil in 2 year old Mallroy HEI.

I replaced the module with Mallroys rev limiter module (I'm going to try the old set up with a new module tomorrow)

There is 12v+ going to the BAT terminal on the dist.

Tried starting it with and with out the tach connected.

Tried connecting a test light to the TACH terminal (after reading a post on here) turned the motor over and the light did not come on.

Checked to make sure that the dist was grounded by connecting a test light to the 12v BAT wire and the dist and the light lit up.

We tested the old coil and the new coil with an ohm meter and got the same result on both (not sure we were testing it right)

Also not 100% sure that I have the spring and rubber cushion under the coil positioned correctly. We currently have it so the spring goes up through the rubber cushion.

Any suggestions? Anything that I would be able to test?

Please help!!!

Did you rule out mechanical, when you take the cap off can you see the dizzy rotor turning when you turn the motor over?

"There is 12v+ going to the BAT terminal on the dist."

Did you check this while spinning the engine?

The BAT wire has around 9.5v while the motor is cranking over. Is that enough?

Well looks like the mallroy rev limiter is bad, put the old stuff back on, with a new module and I have fire again.

Thanks for the help guys,
